ARENSIA Exploratory Medicine: Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Cluj-Napoca (or simply Cluj), the second largest city in Romania and fourth most populous, served as the 5th base of exploratory research operations of ARENSIA – Exploratory Medicine. Just August of 2022, ARENSIA established collaborative efforts with Cluj’s leading medical institutions which are not only equipped with bleeding edge diagnostics technologies but are responsible in serving the entire Transylvanian region’s population of about 7.5 million.

ARENSIA Exploratory Medicine: Sofia, Bulgaria

The succeeding month showed even more progress for the company with the first ARENSIA research clinic opened at Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital city. With a population of about 7 million, Bulgaria had its clinical research tradition going back for over 30 years. As for Sofia, it is known as a European capital with a picturesque cultural, economic and scholastic life. It has a catchment area of more than 2 million people and the city is diametrically linked to all of Europe’s major airfield hubs.

Personally reported by ARENSIA, its Sofia research clinic is said to occupy an area of over 500 square meters (5,400 square feet) and houses 14 non-ambulatory beds with a round-the-clock surveillance. The clinic also has rooms for screening, an investigational medicinal product (IMP) pharmacy, sample preparation laboratory, samples storage facilities, and staff meeting rooms.

Ensuring Uniformity of Services

Like in all of ARENSIA’s Research Clinics, both ARENSIA Sofia, Bulgaria and ARENSIA Cluj, Romania cater the execution of complex Phase I First-in-Patient / Phase II / Proof of Concept study designs with novel therapies & combinations involving patients across numerous therapeutic areas: oncology (both solid tumors and hema-oncology), immuno-inflammatory / rheumatology, dermatology, gastrointestinal, respiratory, neurology, cardiology, metabolic, infectious diseases, hepatology, nephrology, gynecology, urology, ophthalmology.

As in other ARENSIA locations, the systems deployed at ARENSIA’s newer research clinics in Sofia and Cluj mirror ARENSIA central SOP system like the utilization of similar standardized clinical pharmacology equipment.

The ARENSIA Excellence

ARENSIA teams in Sofia and Cluj comprise of local staff with proven track record of performing clinical research and experienced ARENSIA staff assigned for transfer from other ARENSIA clinics. Principal Investigators of the study are proficient physicians who are specialized in all the above-mentioned therapeutic areas. ARENSIA’s teams are trained to handle even the most complex of protocol designs relating to first-in-man / first-in-patient study designs.
